All over Britain, classic machines, from steam ploughs to sports cars, and from trams to cranes, are rusting away in barns, back gardens and garages. The second series of Channel 4's Salvage Squad takes on the challenge of restoring these machines. Madness star Suggs and the Squad, Claire, Jerry and Axel, face the challenge of putting 10 dilapidated classic machines back together in a limited time.

While the Squad members tackle the hard, dirty and technically demanding restoration work, Suggs explores the history of the machines. He discovers what has happened to them and the people who used them over the course of their long lives, finds out about the traditional skills that are needed to repair them, and adds a touch of madness.
