Welcome to the ROBOTS website!
This website was launched to coincide with Channel 4's first ever broadcast of the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, which took place in December 2000. The lectures are entitled Rise of the Robots!
We have been developing this site and Robot Constructor long after the Christmas Lectures have finished, with the most recent update taking place in November 2001. There have been nearly 400 Zones created by our users for you to try out your Robots on; click here to play Robot Constructor!
 And by the way there's a great little book you can buy as a momento of the lectures and to find out more about the history of robots. It's available for by sending a postal order or a cheque for £4.95 made payable to Channel 4 to the following address:
