In Channel 4's smashing new series, presenter Cookie puts teams of mechanics under pressure to transform ordinary vehicles into the maddest monsters you can imagine.

Each week, different teams work against time to turn an everyday machine into an amazing one-off feat of engineering. Only hard man Cookie has the sheer personality to lead them in the task of turning a Toyota into the fastest lawnmower on earth or a Rolls Royce into a muck spreader.

Monster Garage is a brand new version of the human urge to invent, transform and modify machines, which has a long, and fascinating history.

In the Channel 4 version, the tasks are tough and the schedule is tight. Tempers fray as the teams of skilled engineers work night and day to finish building these beautiful, barmy machines. Series producer Sam Eastall takes us behind the scenes to see how they coped.
