Competition One

Can you work out why Max can't get away from his sister Rosie? The winning prize is a lab coat signed by the MiW.

Using a compass, Max heads south for 200 metres towards his sister, Rosie. He then turns east and walks another 400 metres before heading north and walking another 200 metres.

Meanwhile Rosie, who had been facing Max from 300 metres away turns west and walks 1000 metres. Then heading north she walks 400 metres before heading west again for 100 metres. Finally she turns north again and walks 100 metres.

Much to Max's annoyance both he and Rosie are back where he originally started. How can this be?
