Crucial elements | Overview
On 25 May 1982, HMS Coventry was stationed with HMS Broadsword about 25 miles away from the Falkland beaches where troop ships were attempting to land men and equipment. Their task was to defend the troop ships from attacking Argentinian fighter planes. Unfortunately, a combination of four elements led to disaster for the Coventry.
