Fifty years after Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tensing Norgay conquered Mount Everest, the world's highest peak has become a 'tourist mountain'. Groups of climbers, many inexperienced, now regularly attempt to climb the 8848 metres to its summit. All they need to take part in an ascent is to show some climbing experience along with £35,000 cash. This is the story of two such parties who set out to reach the top of the world.
