Dawkins on Darwin | Series Clips | Heroes and Zeroes | Archive
Filmed at Cheltenham Science Festival, 4 June 2008
Springboarding from Richard Dawkins’ theme of Darwin as a hero of Science, we thought we'd open up the debate and ask some well known figures from the world of science to nominate, and champion, their personal heroes. Mark Lythgoe, Mark Miodownik and Kate Lancaster appeared at Cheltenham Science Festival on 4th June 2008 where they were grilled by David Glover, Head of Science at Channel 4. The debate threw up some fascinating questions and the members of the public in the audience spiced up proceedings with some challenging and controversial views.
