Let's have the basics: name, age, married, children, where do you live, favourite CD?
Ed Sanders, 28, married with a son. I live in Los Angeles, USA.

What was your last job before Demolition Day?
Hosting Fear Factor for Sky One.

Your favourite moment on the show?
Working with Gia Milinovich. It was good to work with a co-presenter again. It's been a while!

And the lowest point?
The hours – 14-hour days in the cold rainy weather, and being way from my wife and son.

Have you ever demolished anything?
Ony five cars ... I've had five car crashes!

What makes a good Demolition Day team?
A team that can communicate and have one leader through each team plan. If they listen to each other then they shouldn't go wrong!

Were there any behind-the-scenes disasters?
Yes, a £60,000 TV camera being driven over by a cherry-picker truck.

Top breakfast – bacon butty or croissant?
Bacon butty always!

What was your favourite challenge?
For looking at – the multi-storey car park.

Go on, give us some DD gossip.
Three of the crew having babies.

If money was no object, how would you spend your perfect weekend?
On a very hot beach with my wife and son.

If your house was being demolished, what would you save?
Apart from my family, photographs of my family.
