The Body in the Trunk The investigators Co-ordinating the investigation is Jerome Lynch QC, a barrister, whose job it is to guide and judge the teams solutions. He puts his clear-thinking legal brains to work, relentlessly forcing our investigators to arrive at the right answers. This week our sleuths are: Ken Follett: started out as a reporter and then became a best-selling writer. Rowan Pelling: editor of the upmarket Erotic Review. After studying the evidence, each investigator slips into roles to fit the crime. As she studies knickers held as evidence, Pelling tells her fellow sleuth that she has, 'really important evidence here Ken. The victim was about a current size 10.' With his opinion that they look 'expensive' rebuffed, Follet decides to 'defer to you on questions of knickers.' Pelling takes an early guess on the murderer when she sees a picture of lodger Fred: 'I took one look at his photo and knew he was no good. Hes a bounder.' Knowing each others strengths helps them solve the crime, even though they begin with very few clues.
