A Parliamentary Killing The investigators Co-ordinating the investigation is Jerome Lynch QC, a barrister, whose job it is to guide and judge the team's solutions. He puts his clear-thinking legal brains to work, relentlessly forcing our investigators to arrive at the right answers. This week our sleuths are: Janet Street Porter, the notoriously abrasive newspaper editor. 'I'm not a team player. I want to win.' Janet decides to investigate the origin of the gun. Paul Daniels, smoothy magician. He heads out with the ribbon. 'I'm hopeless at history,' he reveals. With co-operation in short supply Lynch at one point sends them into the Longleat maze at Thynn's country seat, to sort out their problems. Paul's magic expertise turns up trumps by helping him discover a secret passage at Longleat but they fail to spot the vital clues of the invisible ink. With just one hour left the pair are faced with a puzzling motif on a handkerchief and must base their final judgement on that.
