The Cut Throat Killer The investigators Co-ordinating the investigation is Jerome Lynch QC, a barrister, whose job it is to guide and judge the teams solutions. He puts his clear-thinking legal brains to work directing our investigators to ask the right answers. This week our sleuths are: Ann Widdecombe, writer and Conservative MP renowned for her irascible manner and an unbending adherence to principle. She was a Tory Home Office Minister. John OFarrell, satirical writer and left wing activist. He has written of campaigning for the Labour Party and is well-known for his urban credentials and wry wit. The Widdecombe and OFarrell partnership proves to be a formidable force, as they work their way through their list of suspects. Ann saddles up on a mischievously stubborn horse as she tries to recreate Samuel Kents ride to the police as O'Farrell checks the records. 'We are made for each other, me and Ann,' OFarrell comments. 'We are the Mulder and Scully of Crime Team.'
