Panama: Part One

The sight of buildings and palm trees are a welcome break after the barren lands of the desert

The safest thing to do in mangrove swamps is to get out of the water at the first opportunity. The heat and humidity are unbearable and visibility is only about 6 metres. The going is slow and Bear can’t hope to cover more than one kilometre in 12 hours. The only way out is to stay calm and keep trucking, onwards and upwards.
