Dr D'Cruz is deeply concerned for Lali's health. He hopes that the Singh family will bring the baby to Bangalore where her anatomy can be properly analised. Dr D'Cruz hopes to provide the first clues as to why Lali has survived as long as she has and how long she might have ahead of her. "I find that the baby was already lost a considerable amount of weight. The skin is already dehydrated and there is a lot of tissue loss. The normal baby fat has almost disappeared. I think in the future if she's not fed and looked after properly, she's prone to infections."
