Among the plethora of Hindu gods people proclaim the baby to be are Duga, Ganesh and Latchme. "This case first came to our attention when we saw it as a newsclip. It had raised a lot of interest across India because of its association with some sort of Godlike image… In India, superstition and religion all intermingle, especially amongst the rural folk, so I'm not surprised that this baby is also thought of as an incarnation of a Hindu goddess," explains Dr D'Cruz. |
