Lali has not been fed properly. She has been given diluted milk and sugar solution in the most unhygenic conditions. Following a night vomiting, her family take her to the nearest accident and emergency department. She is so dehydrated that the doctors advise that Lali should be put on a drip immediately. But Lali's father is unable to respond to the doctor's request. As a collective, the family have to make the decision and the elders have to be consulted. Against the doctor's advice, the family elders decide to take Lali home. |
