Nightmare at 20,000 Feet
Nigel and Antony were rescued just as they were giving up hope.
Steve spent another night on the mountain. Rescue teams were amazed to find him alive the following morning.
Antony lost two fingers.
Nigel lost all his fingers and toes and needed skin grafts to repair his cheeks and nose.
Steve lost all his fingers and thumbs, half his left hand, his left leg from the knee down and half of his right foot. He spent two years in rehab.
All three still climb and hope to attempt Mckinley again…
