Unaccountably, Mark loses hold of the life raft in the water. They are left without flares, water, radio, medical supplies, and any survival equipment at all. Their only option is to huddle around the too-small rubber dingy that Brad had thrown overboard and hope to sit out the storm. The high winds are bitingly cold and threaten to freeze them to death in a matter of minutes. So they pack themselves tightly into the space underneath the upturned dingy and try to preserve all the body heat they can. |
