After hours of hiking, they reached a steep hill. The road should have been on the other side, they thought. After struggling to the top, they were confronted by miles and miles of uninhabited snowy wilderness – not a road in sight. Now they were desperate. They were hungry, dehydrated, in pain and frozen. They had to head back to the truck. Clayton has gone very quiet, but he was still alive. They staggered to a rocky outcrop and sheltered from the wind for the night. |
