Once inside the canyon itself, they found the going really tough. Upper Chute Canyon is a 'slot canyon' which simply means that it is narrow. They were formed by the passage of water. Slot canyons are hard going as they twist and turn and are blocked at intervals by huge boulders and pools of freezing cold water. |
