Crew and pilot were very experienced at their jobs and the first shot seemed to go well. When they reviewed it though, Mike decided he'd like to try it again.

This time, as the chopper flew over the crater rim, the engine failed and the blades slowly came to a stop. Craig took a second or two to register and then went into emergency procedure. Chris and Mike felt the pit of their stomachs as Craig said: 'We're going down.'

Miraculously, Craig put the chopper down inside the crater on firm ground without harming any of them. But their troubles had only begun.
