Background and relevant experience
Dee has been Group Managing Director of Emap Radio, a division of Emap plc, since 2005 and in that capacity oversaw its acquisition of Scottish Radio Holdings – a move that vastly increased the size of Emap’s station portfolio.
She began her career in sales, holding senior positions across a number of newspaper, magazine and radio groups before joining Emap in 1994, as Managing Director of Rock FM in Preston. In 1999, she was appointed Group Managing Director of Emap Performance, in which capacity she directed Emap’s strategy of stretching media brands across different platforms, including the launch of Kerrang! Radio and eight music TV channels.
