The adventure gets underway when Prince Fabeous's (James Franco) fiancée Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel) is kidnapped by the evil, lecherous and generally unwholesome wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux).
As is the way with these things, the king (Charles Dance) commands a rescue mission. And so the heroically brave Fabeous is joined by his female equal, the noble warrior Isabel (Natalie Portman) and Fabeous's younger brother, the lazy pot-smoking Thadeous (Danny McBride), who - quite frankly - is simply not up to the task.
Can this wonky trio free Belladonna before her innocence is lost to the despicable sexual fate that Leezar has in store for her?
It's a film that will disappoint or infuriate those attempting to apply their critical faculties, but it's a definite treat for anyone up for some lewd, foul-mouthed nonsense delivered in knowingly appalling cod English accents by a stellar cast.
Also starring Toby Jones, Damien Lewis and Julian Rhind-Tutt.
