i am a mother of one (terrible 2)and have a step daughter staying on the weekends (6)i do near enough EVERYTHING round the house (with acception to getting rid of spiders and such...) my boyfriend spends most of his time either in bed or on his xbox, i would love to be considered for this show as i'd pay ANY amount of money to watch another woman throw his computer games in the bin and make him get up early!....very unlikely though. HOW DO I APPLY FOR THIS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
hi my names aimee, my mum is the best mum ever and its just took me til this week to realise it because her my dad and little bro are on holiday and im having to do all the things about the house that she would nornaly do, i appreciate her so much more now. i would love her to go on wife swap and get put with someone that would do everything for her for a change instead of her runnin after us and so that other people can see how amazing she is. i would also like her to go on wife swap so that my little brothers can get the taste of someone else in the house and mabey that person will make them apreciate my mother so much more once she gets back and help out more. hopefully we can x
I am a mother of two children one drama queen aged 6 and another glorious daughter aged 11 months I work 20 hrs per week and also strive to keep a family home by being very organized. My partner works long hours therefore is not on hand at all times we do strive to strike a balance with giving our children the best. We also have another daughter (step) who lives with her mum but stays once a week at the grand old age of fifteen! We would love the experience of swapping our lives for a fortnight as a reality check for us all bring it on.

I Have 2 Brothers 1 Called Brandon Who Loves 2 Play With His Friends & Give My Mum A Hard Time & Jordon Who Has ADHD & He Is Ortistick How Ever Youu Spell It & Also Has Speach & Laugage Problems & Cant Spell. He Is Very Hard Wrk & My Mum Is A Carer For Him 24/7 She Never Gets A 2minute Break.I She Always Has 2 Look After The House & Provide For Us & She Always Makes Sure We Come First & Never Treats Her Self. I Think It Would Be Good 2 Have A Swop 2 See How Someone Else Would Handle Livin In Her Shoes. Lets Be Honest Could Youu Cope? My Mum Wont Go On The Show Thou Is There Away Of Convincing Her? Hehe. Love Lisa x

I am one of very few to say I have a perfect family life with a wonderful husband who adores me and our 2 perfect children...I cant imagine life any other way but if it keeps my appreciation going for what I have, I'd love to try??

hi how can we apply to be on the shoe, i'm 27 my husband is 26, we both work full time myself as a nurse and my husband is in the RAF we have a four year old daughter we'd love to be on the show! we're fairly strict in our house and i would love someone to try and put up with my husband!!!
me and my wife have some issues that i believe this hsow would be able to sort out the family consists of my son aidan, my wife juilie and my daughter shana.
I would love to get my family on this show the poor woman who swapped with my mum wouldnt know what hit her. The family consists of my mum and dad, Me and my twin sister Ruby (19) then my 4 younger sisters Grace (14) Niamh (11) Lily (7) and Ella (3). We literally don't stop both my parents work my dad fulltime and mum part time but as soon as they get in from work they are back out the door as 2 of my sisters play football 3 times a week (sometimes more when they have matches) and my dad manages the team and then my 2 youngest sister do dance and gymlastics twice a week, then i'm a student teacher and my sister is a student nurse so were always out and about working on placement doing essays or out with friends but do help when we are needed. On top of that my mum also does all the paper work and organising event for the football teams and works for the football league as the secutary and does all the fixtures for all the teams in the league we literall do not stop! we also have 2 dogs. We watch the programme and laugh at how some of the women on this show would have a meltdown at our house.
I am a single mum of 3 working full time, studying for a masters degree, being a taxi for the kids, helping them with school work, attending exercise classes, doing voluntary work, walking on Dartmoor with kids & trying desperatly to finish doing up my house (have been doing this since last eatser but cant seem to find the time). Sometime in all this i find time to socialise occasionally & hve some fun times with the kids but not too often. Life is hectic as is our house with the kids friends coming & going all the time....I often have double the amount for tea at short notice, we tend to have an open house policy! Am I mad or do some peoples lives seem boring? Maybe I would like a quieter life? Mine is so full I don't have time to think about it. I wonder how many others could keep up my pace of life, who knows?
would love to be on ur show and show viewers that not everyone who have big familes are benfit scrundgers my husband woks from 5am to 1pm then 430pm 12am

I too was horrified to see this episode aired on television for us all to see, this clearly should be a case for social services! Does anyone know which area they lived as I will contact their local authoriy directly. I do not feel it is worth addressing Channel 4 with this issue due to their poor judgement in showing the episode in the first place
my veiws on this episode is its very easy to judge some one, and you dont have the whole life story. I dont oppose to anything i watched, but maybe she wasnt brought up that well herself or maybe the natural feelings a motherhas for her child hadnt kicked in because she didnt experience that herself, she also maybe deppressed it could be a number of things and as a young mother myself i think if i was to ask for help from a health professional some would think im a bad mother, i think the professionals are to blame maybe more should be done or more help needed for young mothers like kelly who clearly need the help lets hope she gets the help she needs,
After watching the wife swap shown on Sun 21st June, i was absolutely appalled that this episode was even broadcast! I hope that somebody with powers at social services also saw this episode and acts accordingly, in my opinion channel 4 should have contacted social services in the first instance, Kelly was quite obviously neglecting her gorgeous little girl. Its beyond me why this woman is now pregnant again when she obviously has no desire to be a mother! Well done to Kerry for coming to the rescue, her comments and actions moved me to tears, its just a shame her presence is not a permenant one in little Georgina's life! Please someone do something, peoples ignorrance to things like this is why we end up with cases like Baby P.
I'm glad to see that so many people are just as horrified as myself that Channel 4 decided to air this episode of Wife Swap, clearly showing a case of absolute neglect on behalf of this mother. Rather than showing this for the viewer's gratification the production team should have called upon social services to fully investigate this young child's welfare. Hats off to Kerry who refused to subject this lovely young girl to the same regime whilst carrying out her role as a mother. Kelly clearly needs educating in parenting skills and I feel disgusted that she is about to bring another life into this world only to be subjected to this upbringing. Absolutely appalled and disgusted!
I was horrified by this episode of Wife Swap - horrified that this was allowed to be aired on national television. This young child was being seriously neglected and Channel 4 should have alerted Social Services of this fact - not used this to drive up viewing figures. I shall be making an official complaint.
Having watched last night's episode of Wife Swap on Channel 4 broadcast on 22nd June 2009 I felt compelled to write in to you with my comments. The episode featured a young mum of 22 called Kelly from Bristol and her daughter Georgina who swapped with a houseproud hairdresser Kerry from a Northern town. I was so touched by the actions of Kerry who was not a mother herself but completely took to mothering and caring for the neglected 18 month old daughter of the wife she swapped with. She said that the experience had changed her life and that she and her husband were going to consider fostering children in the future. Watching her instant reaction to the child's lifestyle brought out a caring, nuturing, paternal feeling in me which I never fel before and I am not a parent myself. Can my comments be passed onto Kerry as I feel she acted superbly in that situation and each time she cried, it almost drove me to tears too. As for Kelly from Bristol; I sincerely hope that the experience has changed her view on how to look after her child and home and not to take everything forgranted. I understand that at the end of the programme her family had been relocated into a bigger house as she was expecting her second child. I hope for the sake of this child and Georgina that their mother steps up to her responsibilities before social services have to get involved. I'd appreciate these comments being passed on to her too. Yours sincerely, An avid C4 viewer
The episode of 22nd June shows a classic case of neglect and it is Channel 4's duty to inform social services and if any social worker from the area they live in sees the episode they must make a referral and intervene. The husband is equally to blame as he is allowing it to happen. A social worker will then be able to assess why this is happening such as depression or just plain laziness.
Well well, my heart was broken into a million pieces last night after watching the show, and by reading the comments I see I was not the only one. My eyes are all puffy from the way I was crying for that little girl. Why have children if you plan on living your life to the fulliest lying in bed, infact there are dissabled people in the world who make more of an effort than that woman. If your natural motherly instincts don't kick in after the first why have more children? Kerry was talking about fostering, I think we all know which family she can cantact first. This is very disturbing and I pray that social welfare is already involved and I feel we all need an update!
kelly really did see the error of her ways by the end, it remains to be seen if it really made a difference, but id like to think iyt did, well done kelly
i cannot believe kelly is allowed to still keep her baby she is a disgrace neglecting her baby like that i want to know if social services have been to her since the show because i think she needs a visit im so angry about it i want to make an official complaint but dont know where to start
i think it wold be great fun to be on this program im a littel ocd and my partner is a compleat slob who sleeps all the time would be a good kick up the but to him lol anyone no who to appliy ???
Pat is right. its easy to judge but there is no background on the case at all! Do we even know how the show was cut? and more to the point no social worker would remove the child from that house but do much the same as has been done and encourage change. Very unfortunate and very very wrong but there are kid brought up much worst in britian than what you have just witnessed.
i have been watching tonights wife swap and think it is absolutly terrible the way that poor little girl is looked after she deserves love and attention and her mother needs reporting to social services the poor baby has a cot stacked with bottles of milk so she stays in bed so her waste of space bone idle mother can have a lie in and the baby has to lie in her own urine for hours!!! i hope somethink is done about this so called mother she needs to get a job and love her child .This has really got to me and iam hurt by this story. regards sarah
After watching a repeat of last night's show I have serious concerns for the wellbeing of 18 month old Georgina. Regardless of the circumstances behind why Kelly is in this situation, what is more important is the risk it is having to her child. This is clearly neglect, emotionally and physically, and should be brought to the attention of social services for an assessment. I am quite shocked that Channel 4 have allowed the filming of such bad parenting without informing social services themselves. How do I make a formal complaint?
Frankly, I am disgusted as to how a woman can broadcast proudly the fact that she feeds her young child crisps for breakfast and leaves her to play in the squalour that was her house whilst she sits happily and lazily at her machine. She is lucky that she has changed, because that, in my opinion, is, if not close to, child abuse. Such a wonderful little child doesn't deserve to live that way.
I have an 11 month old son and i would never imagine bringing my child up the way that lazy women brings up her daughter its disgusting i mean crisps for breakfast thats disgraceful!! Her home is in no way hygenic to bring up a small child in.. I cannot believe she says she looks after the baby all day when she doesnt even get up till gone midday... Her aughter is such a beatiful little girl and its hurtful to watch.. im sorry but im only 16 and my son would never be brought up that way its disgusting!!!!!
i want to make a complaint about this show, has social services seen this woman? this woman stays in bed till 1am, leaving her baby in bed with no breakfast and is lying in a soaking wet bed with a full nappy, asn she sits on the computer whioe her baby sits there??? i have cried watching it, that child deserves better
I have complained to OFCOM about last nights episode as I was left so upset and angry that this programme could be allowed to be aired. No child should be left in a soiled nappy for so long while the mother laid in bed all morning and then left neglected for most of the day while the mother is busy on the inernet for up to 10 hours. This should be a matter for social intervention not light entertainment.
I watched this show in shock. I hope channel 4 take the responsibility to pass Kelly on to someone who can help - she obviously loves her child but has NO idea of basic parenting skills. If Georgina eats crisps for breakfast, she will end up obese. Surely this little girl has basic rights and one of them is to be fed appropriately. Leaving her till midday, with no interaction is just dispicable and beyond me. I too am thinking about a formal complaint. I know people live like this in the real world, but in that world their lives are not broadcast to millions and can't be helped. There needs to be steps put in place to educate Kelly successfully.
iM KERRY FROM LAST NIGHTS WIFE SWAP. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE COMMENTS. KELLY DID REALISE BY THE END OF THE EXPERIENCE I JUST HOPE IT IS ALL GOING WELL FOR HER AND GEORGINA AND THE NEW BABY.
Your posters are all very critical of Kelly and she is undoubtedly not a good mother at the moment. However, by the end of the show she was making some attempts to improve. Because the programme doesn't give any background it is easy to be judgemental. Kelly may not have known any good parenting herself, may be suffering from depression or another illness or simply lazy - it's not possible to tell. One poster says "Where,s the faimily?" There may not be one. Let's hope that Kelly is now getting the support she needs to become a good parent - she seemed to be taking her first steps in this direction by the end of the programme and anyone can learn. The other husband needs to realise that women are not here to make men happy but that couples should work together to make each other happy. Good luck to them all - I thought they all showed a willingness to learn from each other.
I'm a father of two, both me and my partner where upset to see how that selfish lazy mother brought up her poor little girl lying with a full nappy till midday, and two bottles left as supllies.Coke and crisps are not fit foods for breakfast and certainly not fit for a young child.I could not have left a child in that enviroment and would aswell be upset to return that poor girl to that unhealthy enviroment. It was clear that the little Georgina was a loving child and parting with that bond would be emotional, truly not as emotional as returning that poor child to that mother, really really beyond her comprehension.Funny that she was out of breath walking round the house and going to work, but was very motivated when going to Karaoke. We beleive that child services should be involved in this and we cannot believe they are having another child when they cannot clearly look after one properly.Channel 4 should help and ensure social support where needed.
"he said being a mother is one of the hardest jobs?" i wouldnt call what she does being a mother.. im 22 and i have a daughter and feel disgusted in how irresponsible kelly is and i truely feel for their children
Omg! That poor little girl. Her mother is the laziest and most selfish person ever. In bed half the day, on the pc for 6hrs and out 4 nights a week! Why have kids in the first place? I hope social services are informed
Absolutly disgusting, why should people like that be re-housed because they are expecting another child that will probably be ignored and not cared for properly and in the same position as its parents in 18years time (or sooner), when hard working, honest families get nothing... Do the Government know what is going on in the real world or are they just really that stupid...!!! The Dad was really trying and came across as a really caring Dad but he needs to stick up for himself more. Normally my Partner and I always agree its always somewhere in the middle the happy balance between the two families on this show, but this episode was disgusting and very upsetting to watch.
i would like to take part in the next series but dont no where to apply im maried to a man in the army with a 15month old son but only 17 and would love to show peopl how young mums can have children run a home and have a life and prove to the people that judge young mums how wrong they are!! pleaseget in touch!!
I am Soooooo disgusted with what i saw on tonights episode. I hope to god that social services are involved especially as she is now having ANOTHER child. I am totaly appalled and i am also planning on formalising a oficial complaint!!!!
left a comment b4,but it has not been posted, but by reading the other comments posted, tonights programme has effected alot of people.it was very disturbing and upsetting to watch.i hope social services are involved now and i cant believe that this programme was broadcasted.that poor child was so neglected ,it will play on my mind for along time.there are people out there that are desperate for children and would have found this disturbing too.
Having watched part of tonight's episode, I feel utterly dismayed. How could anyone allow their child to be treated in such an apalling manner? Not only is the "mother" (a term used very loosely in this instance) guilty of neglect, so is the father and anyone else involved in this child's life. Where is her Health Visitor? Why don't the family get involved?? I fully understand why the lady who swapped and went to look after this child was so distressed. She is truly a much more restrained person than I could have been when faced with this abomination of a parent. She showed this child love, nurture and care for what I probably believe was the first time in her life. I hope she and her partner are successful in their ambition to be foster carers, I wish them and Georgina all the best.
i feel sick, sick, sick !!! why on earth did channel 4 air tonights show!! The poor little girl, i feel so sorry for her to have a mother like that! and now shes pregnant again!! She can't cope with one child how will she cope with two!!....im just speechless! i want to complain about tonights show....anyone know how to go about it???
i really thought kerry was brilliant with the child in this nights episode! i have a 14 month old and wouldn't dream of leaving her to entertain herself! i was nearly crying every time i thought about that child being left with no interaction! i hope that the mother gets her act together now because if she is pregnant again she will have her hands full and her fella will run out of steam soon! he needs to get a back bone and have time for himself! take a trick out of her book!
I have just watched wife swap and found it quite disturbing and upsetting.I'm sure i am not the only person that found it upsetting to watch.I waited 8 years for my first child and went through alot of heartache and there are people out there that dont look after there children properly.it was sad to watch this poor child being left in her bed till after 1pm and then feed rubbish.how could a parent leave their child in that state and with such a wet nappy. their are couples out their that want to adopt children and have to go through years of assessments to see if they are suitable to adopt and then we see parents mistreat and neglect children like that.social services should be informed,as no child should be neglected like that, this shouldnt have been shown on tv,especially with all the different child neglect cases that are in the news, even the women that did the swap found the situation distressing.you have now lost my viewing of this programme and i'm sure i am not the only person that feels so strongly about what was shown tonight.
The mother in this week's episode is a disgrace and should be reported to social services immediately. I am utterly disgusted that a child can be neglected in this way. Channel 4 has a duty to report his woman and to give this child a chance and the number of comments on this site proves it. Repulsive, lazy and entirely neglectful. I have not felt this cross and helpless for someone else in a very long time.
Disorganized busy Urban Artist househusband, hardworking temp agency wife, three girls under 10, small cluttered maisonette, pet crow, old car with graffiti on it. After seeing your show, wife is confident she can 'handle anything and anyone'. Husband doesn't believe her and thinks anyone who comes into our home will be driven mad by disarray. Husband would like the opinion of an informed third party of what can be done to improve day to day home operations - we appear to be busting our chops getting nowhere.
I'm fumeing! Have just watched the Murphy/Moyston episode and am disgusted in that lazy old bag. Tempted to report her to social services. She left her baby all morning, every morning in her cot in a sopping wet nappy while she stayed in bed. The child was crawling amongst filth, both general and cat and fed a diet of what seemed to be mostly crisps. Now shes pregnant again! I know the programme is heavily edited but there was no hiding what a lazy unfit wife/mum she is. What was she thinking of going on Wife Swap and what kind od first class wally is her husband for putting up with her?
A very moving episode, i am a cleaning freek and would of thrown the big girl out of my house. why have men got no backbone? I think my wife and I would be very entertaining on your program as the pair of us take no shite.
well basically my mum works 7 days a week non-stop! and then she comes in and has too clean our big house the poor thing i mean talking from a daughters point of view me and my 3 sisters and liittle nephew are thw laziest bunch of imbeciles, not gonna lie but i would love my mum too realise just how much she does for us and how much she needs to relax so can we go on the show pretty please (flick the eyelashes and that ;).
Hey, Please can you consider me and my husband for this programme,he is a paramedic and works long shifts and I am a part time worker as also a mum......give us a call pleaseeeee xxx
Hi, I have just watched the episode of wife swap, 21st June. I am completed disgusted with how the little baby girl was kept!!! The house was disgusting and all I did was cry looking at that little girl with a poor diet having no affection, and having to stay in bed till lunchtime with a soaking wet nappy!! The mother should be ashamed of herself!! I am 24 and a single mum with a 2yr old!! My life is devoted to me little girl and still work, play with my child, and keep A CLEAN HOUSE. I just hope she has changed for the better for the sake of her little girl!!!
Really I was chocked with what i have seen on the episode of the murphys&the moystons families the young woman who lives in bristol, how dirty she is and how her child is neglected, there is health & safety issue, the child is being forced to be a beast because the mother is so so lazy to clean and cook a healthy food for herself and for her family, something is very disgusting, I feel sorry for the young woman, she dosn`t know that she is destroying herself by her way of living, she can`t stand for 1 hour. And really the other women who swapt with her is a brave woman. I congratulate her for her way of life and tydiness.
hi, id love to do wife swap, i have a partner of 4years, and a 2 and a half year old daughter.Plus one dog!!! Why do i want to do this?...Sometimes you forget what you've got, and take it for granted, and i think myself and my partner have done this, i'd love a chance to look at it from the outside, aswell as live in someone else's life!x
After watching wife swap tonight I have to complain. I have NEVER been so affected by a program in my life. My daughter is the same age as Georgina. I feel that lady should be seen by social services. I cried the whole way through it. She is the most disgusting and lazy woman I've ever see. I am quite annoyed with clannel 4 for airing it in the first place. I pray social services are involved.
after watching wife swap tonite i was absolutely disgusted by the way that fat woman treated her husband and child feeding the baby crisps for breakfast then him coming home an tidy up after a hard days work because she had lied in bed all day an leaving the baby in her cot till 11.30am with a soaking nappy social services should be informed me an my wife have 4 children and 1 on the way an she still manages to keep our home looking nice and the children looked after hopefully her husband wises up an kicks her into touch
i would love to be on the next series of wife swap as i am a very dedicated house wife also im a childminder so i would like to see how other wife's stack up to that.
My sister and I talk about doing a wife swap. We live VERY different lives - I work all day and all night (self employed) and she plays all day (she'd kill me for saying that). She has a much more affluent life style - owns and flys her own aeroplane, has 3 kids, 2 dogs and a house keeper and says she never gets any support! My partner and I are business partners as well as life partners and we have a very different approach to work and play so there are some challenging times. When my sister and partner get together they have a riot and when her husband and I get together we talk business!! It'd be fun and I think we're going to do it anyway! I fancy having a house keeper and an aeroplane!
Rhona cameron and stan boardman. What a show. Moving, uplifting, informative and just fabulous. I`ve never commented on a show before but just had to. Well done to C4 and to stan and rhona!
M best pal and I are both 62,known each other over 40 years we spend all our time comparing husbands; she is married to a millionaire, and lives a very pampered lifestyle, I am living with a factory worker on basic wages. How do we apply please?
I would be quiter happy to go on wife swap as it would show people exactly how a perfect husband should behave, also my wife would show how a perfect wife can be.
im a single parent but have always worked love to be on the show i have one lovely daughter age nine three sons ages 28 24 18 the 18yr old is sooooo lazy sleeps all day no go in him at all he thinks the world owes him a favour i work all week then have my grandsons at weekends give me a break wheres my life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
