  2. Hi was wondering if you would accept a gay couple on here, me and my partner have a 17yo daughter that lives with us permanetly and a 9yo son that stays frequently, i love the show and think it would be great to see how people would react in our way of life in a swap too, even tho we are 2 men there still has to be some sort of wife in the relationship, we still class ourselves as a normal family but would like the chance to see the other side of things too, please consider us, as dont believe you have done this yet with two guys, many thanks

  19. We would like to apply in the next series of wife swap because unlike most we would like to draw on our experiences of others good or bad. My wife and i have been married for 13 years this year and we have beautiful seven year old daughter. My wife is an accountant and I am a self employed landscape gardener both working local to our home town. Our daughter goes to the local primary school approx ten minuets from home. We would be very grateful if you would consider or application for the next series. Regards S Parsons.

  33. I am a mother of two children one drama queen aged 6 and another glorious daughter aged 11 months I work 20 hrs per week and also strive to keep a family home by being very organized. My partner works long hours therefore is not on hand at all times we do strive to strike a balance with giving our children the best. We also have another daughter (step) who lives with her mum but stays once a week at the grand old age of fifteen! We would love the experience of swapping our lives for a fortnight as a reality check for us all bring it on.

He Is Very Hard Wrk & My Mum Is A Carer For Him 24/7 She Never Gets A 2minute Break.I She Always Has 2 Look After The House & Provide For Us & She Always Makes Sure We Come First & Never Treats Her Self. I Think It Would Be Good 2 Have A Swop 2 See How Someone Else Would Handle Livin In Her Shoes. Lets Be Honest Could Youu Cope? My Mum Wont Go On The Show Thou Is There Away Of Convincing Her? Hehe. 51. I would love to get my family on this show the poor woman who swapped with my mum wouldnt know what hit her. The family consists of my mum and dad, Me and my twin sister Ruby (19) then my 4 younger sisters Grace (14) Niamh (11) Lily (7) and Ella (3). We literally don't stop both my parents work my dad fulltime and mum part time but as soon as they get in from work they are back out the door as 2 of my sisters play football 3 times a week (sometimes more when they have matches) and my dad manages the team and then my 2 youngest sister do dance and gymlastics twice a week, then i'm a student teacher and my sister is a student nurse so were always out and about working on placement doing essays or out with friends but do help when we are needed. On top of that my mum also does all the paper work and organising event for the football teams and works for the football league as the secutary and does all the fixtures for all the teams in the league we literall do not stop! we also have 2 dogs. We watch the programme and laugh at how some of the women on this show would have a meltdown at our house.

  52. I am a single mum of 3 working full time, studying for a masters degree, being a taxi for the kids, helping them with school work, attending exercise classes, doing voluntary work, walking on Dartmoor with kids & trying desperatly to finish doing up my house (have been doing this since last eatser but cant seem to find the time). Sometime in all this i find time to socialise occasionally & hve some fun times with the kids but not too often. Life is hectic as is our house with the kids friends coming & going all the time....I often have double the amount for tea at short notice, we tend to have an open house policy! Am I mad or do some peoples lives seem boring? Maybe I would like a quieter life? Mine is so full I don't have time to think about it. I wonder how many others could keep up my pace of life, who knows?

  60. my veiws on this episode is its very easy to judge some one, and you dont have the whole life story. I dont oppose to anything i watched, but maybe she wasnt brought up that well herself or maybe the natural feelings a motherhas for her child hadnt kicked in because she didnt experience that herself, she also maybe deppressed it could be a number of things and as a young mother myself i think if i was to ask for help from a health professional some would think im a bad mother, i think the professionals are to blame maybe more should be done or more help needed for young mothers like kelly who clearly need the help lets hope she gets the help she needs,

  61. I was disgusted to see part of the most recent episode. The treatment of the lovely little girl by her mother was bordering on neglect / abuse/ Admitting to leaving her in bed until mid-day and then feeding her a breakfast of crisps. I trust that Social Services and / or the local Health Visitor have been advised of the situation by the programme makers?

  62. After watching the wife swap shown on Sun 21st June, i was absolutely appalled that this episode was even broadcast! I hope that somebody with powers at social services also saw this episode and acts accordingly, in my opinion channel 4 should have contacted social services in the first instance, Kelly was quite obviously neglecting her gorgeous little girl. Its beyond me why this woman is now pregnant again when she obviously has no desire to be a mother! Well done to Kerry for coming to the rescue, her comments and actions moved me to tears, its just a shame her presence is not a permenant one in little Georgina's life! Please someone do something, peoples ignorrance to things like this is why we end up with cases like Baby P.

  63. Enjoyed the show from an education point of view. I hope the young mother gets the help she needs and is willing to change. Channel 4 should be congratulated for raising difficult and topical issues. Issuing a formal complaint will only brush such issues under the carpet whilst there is a need for such issues to be brought forward in the public awareness. Maybe there needed to be a notice going out at the end of the show to direct people to help or education in raising a child.

  64. I'm glad to see that so many people are just as horrified as myself that Channel 4 decided to air this episode of Wife Swap, clearly showing a case of absolute neglect on behalf of this mother. Rather than showing this for the viewer's gratification the production team should have called upon social services to fully investigate this young child's welfare. Hats off to Kerry who refused to subject this lovely young girl to the same regime whilst carrying out her role as a mother. Kelly clearly needs educating in parenting skills and I feel disgusted that she is about to bring another life into this world only to be subjected to this upbringing. Absolutely appalled and disgusted!

  65. Iam reflecting on this episode, everyone commenting is clearly distressed by the events and the situations, the environment and the actions of all the adults especially Kelly.Everyone is complaining that channel 4 should not broadcast this episodes, however i believe that, this is crucial for them to show the kind of society we live in, know that channel have shown kellys situation, it has maybe helped her and her family get some sort of help, if this case was not brought to our attention it could of lead to more serious issues, we should praise channel for what they are doing, so it does not lead to cases such as Baby P or Victoria Climbie and we can all see how that can end for all those poor children, God bless their souls. However kelly is a disgrace, she has no respect for herself, her baby or her husband who is soooo weak, i mean its his baby too, he should take action and control of the situation. The Poor baby needs interaction,Positive Stimulation, attention and love, to promote and encourage healthy mental, emotional and physical growth.Well done Kerry you did so well in a difficult situation.

  66. I was so relieved to come to this website and read the comments posted by other wife swap viewers. If for one second I thought that I was the only person out there who thought that poor neglected georgina deserved so much more than her mother had to offer her I would never have slept another wink of sleep again. I cried all the way through and every time I think about georgina I want to cry again. I have a daughter who is one year old and watching that show made me want to take her in my arms and never ever let go. Georgina's mother should be ashamed of herself.

  67. I was horrified by this episode of Wife Swap - horrified that this was allowed to be aired on national television. This young child was being seriously neglected and Channel 4 should have alerted Social Services of this fact - not used this to drive up viewing figures. I shall be making an official complaint.

  68. Having watched last night's episode of Wife Swap on Channel 4 broadcast on 22nd June 2009 I felt compelled to write in to you with my comments. The episode featured a young mum of 22 called Kelly from Bristol and her daughter Georgina who swapped with a houseproud hairdresser Kerry from a Northern town. I was so touched by the actions of Kerry who was not a mother herself but completely took to mothering and caring for the neglected 18 month old daughter of the wife she swapped with. She said that the experience had changed her life and that she and her husband were going to consider fostering children in the future. Watching her instant reaction to the child's lifestyle brought out a caring, nuturing, paternal feeling in me which I never fel before and I am not a parent myself. Can my comments be passed onto Kerry as I feel she acted superbly in that situation and each time she cried, it almost drove me to tears too. As for Kelly from Bristol; I sincerely hope that the experience has changed her view on how to look after her child and home and not to take everything forgranted. I understand that at the end of the programme her family had been relocated into a bigger house as she was expecting her second child. I hope for the sake of this child and Georgina that their mother steps up to her responsibilities before social services have to get involved. I'd appreciate these comments being passed on to her too. Yours sincerely, An avid C4 viewer

  69. Watching the last episode with Kelly Moyston disgusted me. How is it allowed that such a obviously lazy uncaring mother be allowed to continue to care for such an adorable child and then on top of everything get pregnant again. I hope that social services are now involved. For all those that say its down to the editing i'm sorry but the state of the house, the food that child was being allowed to eat and then being left alone in bed with bottles of milk and being left completely wet through cannot be mimicked. I have a son the same age and am pregnant and my heart was broken watching that.

  70. It doesnt matter how the programme was cut. That woman didnt get out of bed until midday (she admitted all this herself)leaving the baby with bottles in the cot! Yes kids may be brought up much worse in Britain, so does that make it ok? Ok to give your child crisps for breakfast at 1pm when you decide to get out of bed? Ignoring your 18 month old child while you sit at the computer for 4-5 hours a day? Having a dirty, unhygenic house? Yes there are worse cases of neglect.... but that doesnt mean we should allow people to bring up their children in such a careless and hap-hazard way! This is the downfall of todays society!!! Im not saing she should have the child taken off her - but the child should be checked on regularly and she should be given some support and sessions on how to look after a child properly.

  71. This is the only TV episode to ever make me cry. Kerry Murphy is such a lovely, lovely person and I was so touched by her interaction with baby Georgina. How Kelly could allow her daughter to live like that I have no idea. I'm disgusted by the treatment of this poor little girl and the conditions she's been brought up in: it's horrific and Kerry really did bring a little bit of sparkle into that baby girl's life. I'm so touched. I hope Kerry reads this and knows what a truly good person she is. You will make an amazing mother. Best of luck to you with fostering - those children will be so lucky to be placed with you. Wish I could give you a hug. x

  72. The episode of 22nd June shows a classic case of neglect and it is Channel 4's duty to inform social services and if any social worker from the area they live in sees the episode they must make a referral and intervene. The husband is equally to blame as he is allowing it to happen. A social worker will then be able to assess why this is happening such as depression or just plain laziness.

  73. Well well, my heart was broken into a million pieces last night after watching the show, and by reading the comments I see I was not the only one. My eyes are all puffy from the way I was crying for that little girl. Why have children if you plan on living your life to the fulliest lying in bed, infact there are dissabled people in the world who make more of an effort than that woman. If your natural motherly instincts don't kick in after the first why have more children? Kerry was talking about fostering, I think we all know which family she can cantact first. This is very disturbing and I pray that social welfare is already involved and I feel we all need an update!

  79. After watching a repeat of last night's show I have serious concerns for the wellbeing of 18 month old Georgina. Regardless of the circumstances behind why Kelly is in this situation, what is more important is the risk it is having to her child. This is clearly neglect, emotionally and physically, and should be brought to the attention of social services for an assessment. I am quite shocked that Channel 4 have allowed the filming of such bad parenting without informing social services themselves. How do I make a formal complaint?

  80. Frankly, I am disgusted as to how a woman can broadcast proudly the fact that she feeds her young child crisps for breakfast and leaves her to play in the squalour that was her house whilst she sits happily and lazily at her machine. She is lucky that she has changed, because that, in my opinion, is, if not close to, child abuse. Such a wonderful little child doesn't deserve to live that way.

  83. I have complained to OFCOM about last nights episode as I was left so upset and angry that this programme could be allowed to be aired. No child should be left in a soiled nappy for so long while the mother laid in bed all morning and then left neglected for most of the day while the mother is busy on the inernet for up to 10 hours. This should be a matter for social intervention not light entertainment.

  84. I watched this show in shock. I hope channel 4 take the responsibility to pass Kelly on to someone who can help - she obviously loves her child but has NO idea of basic parenting skills. If Georgina eats crisps for breakfast, she will end up obese. Surely this little girl has basic rights and one of them is to be fed appropriately. Leaving her till midday, with no interaction is just dispicable and beyond me. I too am thinking about a formal complaint. I know people live like this in the real world, but in that world their lives are not broadcast to millions and can't be helped. There needs to be steps put in place to educate Kelly successfully.

  89. Your posters are all very critical of Kelly and she is undoubtedly not a good mother at the moment. However, by the end of the show she was making some attempts to improve. Because the programme doesn't give any background it is easy to be judgemental. Kelly may not have known any good parenting herself, may be suffering from depression or another illness or simply lazy - it's not possible to tell. One poster says "Where,s the faimily?" There may not be one. Let's hope that Kelly is now getting the support she needs to become a good parent - she seemed to be taking her first steps in this direction by the end of the programme and anyone can learn. The other husband needs to realise that women are not here to make men happy but that couples should work together to make each other happy. Good luck to them all - I thought they all showed a willingness to learn from each other.

  90. I'm a father of two, both me and my partner where upset to see how that selfish lazy mother brought up her poor little girl lying with a full nappy till midday, and two bottles left as supllies.Coke and crisps are not fit foods for breakfast and certainly not fit for a young child.I could not have left a child in that enviroment and would aswell be upset to return that poor girl to that unhealthy enviroment. It was clear that the little Georgina was a loving child and parting with that bond would be emotional, truly not as emotional as returning that poor child to that mother, really really beyond her comprehension.Funny that she was out of breath walking round the house and going to work, but was very motivated when going to Karaoke. We beleive that child services should be involved in this and we cannot believe they are having another child when they cannot clearly look after one properly.Channel 4 should help and ensure social support where needed.

  92. Well I am still tossing and turning in bed & very upset about tonights episode. Just writing this has made me start crying again. Georgina reminded me so much of my own baby girl who is only 2 months older. It was clear that the lack of nutrition/care has held Georginas development back. She is still like a much younger baby rather than a toddler like my daughter. Who can we contact about this? Nobody else has mentioned the fact that at the end of the programme there was a puppy sat on the computer chair. What are the chances of this lazy woman taking the dog out to do it's business. There will be dog as well as cat poo all over now. What maddens me even More is that if she treats that puppy in the same way as she treats her daughter, the RSPCA will take the dog away from her under the new laws, yet she still has her baby wig her after 18 months of neglect. Also which sadistic jeweler allowed her to pierce her daughters ears at such a young age. It's all just disgusting and I still can't believe channel 4 aired it.

  93. Absolutly disgusting, why should people like that be re-housed because they are expecting another child that will probably be ignored and not cared for properly and in the same position as its parents in 18years time (or sooner), when hard working, honest families get nothing... Do the Government know what is going on in the real world or are they just really that stupid...!!! The Dad was really trying and came across as a really caring Dad but he needs to stick up for himself more. Normally my Partner and I always agree its always somewhere in the middle the happy balance between the two families on this show, but this episode was disgusting and very upsetting to watch.

  97. Having watched part of tonight's episode, I feel utterly dismayed. How could anyone allow their child to be treated in such an apalling manner? Not only is the "mother" (a term used very loosely in this instance) guilty of neglect, so is the father and anyone else involved in this child's life. Where is her Health Visitor? Why don't the family get involved?? I fully understand why the lady who swapped and went to look after this child was so distressed. She is truly a much more restrained person than I could have been when faced with this abomination of a parent. She showed this child love, nurture and care for what I probably believe was the first time in her life. I hope she and her partner are successful in their ambition to be foster carers, I wish them and Georgina all the best.

  100. I have just watched wife swap and found it quite disturbing and upsetting.I'm sure i am not the only person that found it upsetting to watch.I waited 8 years for my first child and went through alot of heartache and there are people out there that dont look after there children properly.it was sad to watch this poor child being left in her bed till after 1pm and then feed rubbish.how could a parent leave their child in that state and with such a wet nappy. their are couples out their that want to adopt children and have to go through years of assessments to see if they are suitable to adopt and then we see parents mistreat and neglect children like that.social services should be informed,as no child should be neglected like that, this shouldnt have been shown on tv,especially with all the different child neglect cases that are in the news, even the women that did the swap found the situation distressing.you have now lost my viewing of this programme and i'm sure i am not the only person that feels so strongly about what was shown tonight.

  101. The mother in this week's episode is a disgrace and should be reported to social services immediately. I am utterly disgusted that a child can be neglected in this way. Channel 4 has a duty to report his woman and to give this child a chance and the number of comments on this site proves it. Repulsive, lazy and entirely neglectful. 107. Disorganized busy Urban Artist househusband, hardworking temp agency wife, three girls under 10, small cluttered maisonette, pet crow, old car with graffiti on it. After seeing your show, wife is confident she can 'handle anything and anyone'. Husband doesn't believe her and thinks anyone who comes into our home will be driven mad by disarray. Husband would like the opinion of an informed third party of what can be done to improve day to day home operations - we appear to be busting our chops getting nowhere.

  125. after watching wife swap tonite i was absolutely disgusted by the way that fat woman treated her husband and child feeding the baby crisps for breakfast then him coming home an tidy up after a hard days work because she had lied in bed all day an leaving the baby in her cot till 11.30am with a soaking nappy social services should be informed me an my wife have 4 children and 1 on the way an she still manages to keep our home looking nice and the children looked after hopefully her husband wises up an kicks her into touch

  127. I am apalled at tonights episode (I rarely watch wife swap). i find it amazing that you can show this poor baby being treated in this way. The mother clearly is unfit to look after children and should be reported to social services! this poor child is made to stay in her bed until lunchtime and eat junk food all day! how can you be happy filming such a lazy horrible person treating a child this way!!

  138. My sister and I talk about doing a wife swap. We live VERY different lives - I work all day and all night (self employed) and she plays all day (she'd kill me for saying that). She has a much more affluent life style - owns and flys her own aeroplane, has 3 kids, 2 dogs and a house keeper and says she never gets any support! My partner and I are business partners as well as life partners and we have a very different approach to work and play so there are some challenging times. When my sister and partner get together they have a riot and when her husband and I get together we talk business!! It'd be fun and I think we're going to do it anyway! I fancy having a house keeper and an aeroplane!
