Series 1
Series Summary
Fifty modern holidaymakers have agreed to swap their normal two weeks of freedom, lying on a sun-drenched beach, for the regimented and wholesome experience at Sunshine Camp - a fully functioning 1960s holiday camp on the Isle of Wight.
Can our young lads used to living it up on the island of Kavos cope with the alcohol restrictions and the 11pm curfew? Will everyone take to the "pink-coats" who are on hand from 7.30am every day to make sure all campers have a good time, whether they want to or not? And will the Thompson family from Somerset, who have never before all holidayed together, last beyond the first few days?
It's fun for all and all for fun, as these modern families try to adapt to life in the 1960s, complete with tannoys, glamorous granny competitions and camp manager Major Vernon Rees, who is on hand to discipline any inappropriate behaviour.
