Ivo Gormley's timely documentary examines the way social media technologies are, as Gormley says, 'sparking the greatest social change since the invention of the printing press... [which could] change the fabric of government forever'.
His film shows how networks such as Zopa, a bank where people lend and borrow money from each other; Ebbsfleet United, where supporters manage the football club they funded online; and Mumsnet, a forum for mothers to exchange tips, advice and support, have changed people's lives and how they relate to each other. Where once networks were face-to-face, the web has changed forever the way we all connect.
