Series Summary
This first series marks a new approach to archaeology on British television and sets out to capture both the excitement and immediacy of the process of discovery - archaeology as it happens.
To complement the more familiar forms of archaeological exploration, the team have at their disposal all the hi-tech aids available to the modern archaeologist, including ground radar, geophysical surveying, computerised reconstruction as well as helicopter surveys.
