This was yet another episode in which Phil and Matt had to dress up for the cameo - thankfully they really do seem to enjoy it! This time they had to become medieval bowmen. Please note, no Phil Hardings were hurt in the making of this programme!
This was the first shoot of the year and the April weather of South Wales was certainly changeable! On Day On the mist was so impenetrable it was impossible to see team members stood only a few metres away. It was very atmospheric to walk across site and suddenly see the monumental ruined gateway emerge from the fog.
The Castle itself was isolated in the woods on the top of the hill, our base for the three days was at the site of the demolished manor house. The incident room had been set up in the stables and was the only warm part of the site!
