  3. As a retired professional musician I have to say I was impressed with the talents of the children taking par tin the programme 'The World's greatest musical prodigies'. But do keep in mind this was a Television programme, and child prodigies are a penny a dozen in reality. The best of the lot (as far as I am concerned) was younf Michael Province, for he has a fantastic future ahead of him provided thowse that look after him protect his childhood and don't let him burn out before he reaches maturity as an Adult. The little Chinese boy on piano was also outstanding, and in time will become famous -again, providing he does not burn out before he reaches maturity. As to the Composer? Lost the plot by composing a piece that was drowned behind the vrass section with no thought to featuring the virtuoso talent of his four little players.

  4. I have just returned home from a wonderful evening at the Sage, Gateshead. The five young musicians were given a well deserved standing ovation at the end. Their love of music was shown by their glances and smiles at each other as they played - like a family which had always been together. A rare treat and a refreshingly different concert.
