At the Renaissance Faire, Lisa wanders into the fortune teller's booth and has her entire future laid bare. She sees herself in the year 2010, attending Harvard and falling in love with a British student named Hugh Parkfield.
Hugh asks Lisa to marry him, and as their wedding approaches Lisa worries that her family - in particular, her father and brother - will embarrass her in front of her new husband and his upper-crust parents.
After a series of embarrassing interludes, Lisa comes to understand that, even though they may not be classy, polite, or sanitary, Homer, Bart, Marge and a now teenage Maggie are her family and she loves them.
'Wow, Lisa, looking at you makes me want to get married for a third time. I met a really nice exotic dancer the other night at Hugh's bachelor party.' - Bart
