Police Chief Clancy Wiggum

Monday 16 February 2009

Clancy Wiggum, the donut-scarfing, graft-accepting Chief of the Springfield Police Department, takes the law into his own hands, often making up his own laws right on the spot, in order to see justice done.

Clancy has been called many things during his career, including 'Chief Piggum,' but perhaps the greatest insult to his professional status was when he was thrown out of the Be Sharps Barbershop Quartet for causing it to seem 'too Village People.'

Though he prefers to spend his time noshing at Krusty Burger or napping in his patrol car, when duty calls Wiggum springs into action. Especially if the calls involve donut shops, ice cream parlors, food processing plants, or people swimming naked.

Proud father of the dimwitted Ralph Wiggum, Lisa's second-grade classmate, Clancy does the best he can to improve Ralph's lot in life, once going so far as to blackmail Miss Hoover into giving Ralph the lead in the class play.
