The contestants go to the land of the Mayans. The Search begins in Antigua, a city famous as the home of the Spanish Inquisition.
Antigua is home to some of South America's finest baroque architecture and is famous for its amazing Easter celebrations of Semana Santa. The city closed the main street and recreated its famous alfombras with a secret code for The Search to crack.
Then it's on to Yaxha, and deep jungle, to explore its twin pyramid complex and nine acropolises. Yaxha is on the shores of the beautiful Yaxha Lagoon, home of the Moreletti crocodiles, and across the lagoon is the small island of Topoxte where many archaeological treasures have been found.
After an epic Indiana Jones-style adventure, each of the contestants is eliminated until only one finds the symbol, guarded in a locked box by poisonous tarantulas.
