In order to promote The Promise, 4Creative (Channel 4's in-house creative agency) wanted to produce an epic, filmic poster in which the faces of the lead characters, Erin and Len, were formed out of the land where the drama is set.
To realise this concept, they first spent three weeks creating an impressive 16ft x 8ft model of the land. They then photographed the actors Claire Foy (Erin) and Christian Cooke (Len), in separate photo shoots, before the two characters were brought together into a final image through painstaking post-production work.
The whole process was filmed in three sequential locations, and the result is this film. Enjoy!
