  3. I loved the Hughes family it made me realise that it's not just our family that have issues and arguments with teenage kids. Trying to reason with them and I realised that family life is important and how much I value our family life. It was my favourite programme of 2008. I loved watching what they all got up to. I loved the way mum and dad sat down with the kids when they had something to discuss. Mum always dressed well and looked nice. Family life is important and having time to talk to you kids is important as time goes so quickly and before you know it they have grown up and you will not get that time back. I wish the Hughes family would return I apsolutely loved watching them. Can Channel 4 not bring them back just for one episode for us to catch up with them and see what they are all doing now.

  7. The orriginal series of the family had a unique way of showing the people at home what a traditional family lived like. It also had a special way that made you compare your life to theirs. After watching the new series of the family i have been seriesly dissapointed and have had to debate if i want to watch the next few episodes. This is probebly due to the none stop arguing and their seems to be no relation in the family.

  9. THE FAMILY. IT WAS A VERY INTERESTING INSIGHT TO SEE AN ORDINARY FAMILY LIVING EVERYDAY LIFE,IT WOULD BE BRILLIENT FOR A SERIES OF FAMILY LIFE TO BE SHOWN BY ALL DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES.EG ONE PARENT FAMILYS ,POOR FAMILYS ,RICH FAMILYS .ETC,.THE HUGHES WERE BRILLIENT TO WATCH AND MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT HOW LIFE IS WITH TEENAGERS,THEY REALLY ARE HARD WORK.WELL DONE TO EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH THIS SERIES I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THE NEXT SERIES.

  10. I loved the family and would happily watch every night! They made me feel as though my life with three children is normal! Jane and Simon are fantastic parents and a comedic couple - great casting! Their children are normal, healthy teenagers (I wonder if Tom still has his ear pierced...) Their meetings around the table and arguments over clothes imitate what is going on up and down the country. I hope my children grow up to have as much respect for themselves, each other and family life as the Hughes clearly have.
