Sunny is married to Shay and is very protective of her. They had a registry wedding in 2005 and their Punjabi wedding was in August 2009 - a major event in the series.

Whilst juggling being a house-husband, he and Gurdip also run their own part-time theatre company. Gurdip writes and produces all the plays whilst Jeet directs and acts in them.
