Sunny is the joker of the house and is never short of a story to tell. He is very proud of his family and his role as the eldest son in the house. Sunny is married to Shay and is very protective of her. They had a registry wedding in 2005 and their Punjabi wedding was in August 2009 - a major event in the series.
Sunny used to work in the family business but now works for BAA as a security officer. He dreams of being a film director and turned down a place at an American film school as he had just met Shay and chose her before his career. Sunny is dyslexic so Shay helps him write down film ideas and scripts. His favourite film is Pulp Fiction which inspired his directing dream.
Sunny describes himself as argumentative and feels his biggest accomplishment in life is marrying Shay.
