Gurdip is married to Jeet whom she met and fell in love with in India. They have a two and a half year old daughter Bhavika and have just had their second child, son Jaskaranjeet - two months premature - whose birth is a major part of the series.
Gurdip is close to her mum and she, Jeet and their two children have a house five minutes away from the family home although they are living in the Grewal household in the lead up to the birth of their son.
Gurdip is a desktop publishing coordinator but she and Jeet also run their own part time theatre company - performing Punjabi plays that she writes and produces and Jeet directs and acts in. Gurdip dotes on Jeet and feels she is incredibly lucky to have married a Bollywood star.
Gurdip had wanted to be a film editor but is equally happy being a mum and developing her writing skills since meeting Jeet. She describes herself as emotional with her greatest achievement being her two children. Her favourite TV programmes are British and Indian soaps.
