Episode 21 - 'The Beginning Of The End'

Doctor Lu: 'If we had a choice, we wouldn't. We're just taking back what is rightfully ours. Your father should have told you. We were here first.'
Eureka! What did I tell you? As far back as ep 3? They're not 'aliens'! They were here first! They're human after all!
Except the 'aliens' can't be from the future, cos if they came back in time and killed us, they won't exist in the future. (A classic paradox of time travel - stop me if I'm getting too technical). So they must be from the past. How come we don't remember? Don't tell me. A giant meteorite didn't wipe out the dinosaurs. They all got on a spaceship instead. I always knew those Velociraptors in Jurassic Park were up to something.
So... with one ep to go (I wonder what I'm going to be blogging on for Channel 4 next? Hollyoaks? Desperate Housewives? 90210?) how are things going to pan out?
Out in the field we have Lee, Blake, Vicky and Shaun. For a horrible second I thought they were going to blow each other away in a Reservoir Dogs-style standoff. Will Dempsey's weird scrolls hold the answers? Will Agent Lee use his Black And Decker to force Dr Lu to extract the Spanish Flu antidote before Leila snuffs it behind that ineffectual-looking plastic shower curtain?
Back at the White House, Team Pres/Sterling is back in operation. (I thought Sterling was going to blub on the phone for a sec). Mrs Pres is going to out Jarvis or he'll crack when he realises Soph is playing him for a chump. Jarvis is the only one in direct 'contact' with Sophia. Will The Pres use this to his advantage?
Which just leaves the matter of the pesky virus and our three billion unwanted houseguests. 'If the situation was reversed, they wouldn't hesitate to do the same to us', says Doctor Lu. Bit harsh. But is Soph having second thoughts about obliterating the human race? It's a big call. Tune in for one final blog next week to see if we're all dead.

EEG showing improvement, higher level of brain activity... wait, it's just anomalous electrical activity in the brain... optimistic... activity is good... he's awake... he's snogging Mrs Pres... he's on the phone... he's out of bed... he's in The White House... he's in his favourite yellow tie... he's back!
