The Diets That Time Forgot
Series 1
Series Summary
Sir Roy Strong thinks history holds the answer to the nation's obesity epidemic. To prove it, he's transformed a magnificent Victorian country house into a period health spa. Nine volunteers spend 24 days testing the weight loss diets and fitness regimes popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, and in the 'roaring' Twenties. Can these modern-day dieters learn life-changing lessons from previous generations?
