Marc Munden returns to Channel 4 after directing Tony Marchant’s multi-BAFTA winning Iraq drama The Mark of Cain.
Previous television credits include the documentaries Rebel with a Cause (also for Channel 4), The Tribe, Girlfriends, Three Big Men and Cowboys & Chicanos, which won an Emmy for Best Current Issues Documentary.
For Channel 4’s Talentspotting season, he directed the single drama Christmas. His diverse range of drama credits subsequently included the BAFTA and RTS nominated first series of Touching Evil, BBC’s award-winning adaptation of Vanity Fair and the single film The Secret World of Michael Fry (also for Channel 4).
In an earlier collaboration with Tony Marchant he directed his contemporary re-telling of The Knight’s Tale as part of The Canterbury Tales. More recently he has been responsible for the BAFTA-nominated series Conviction and last year’s single drama, Shiny Shiny Bright New Hole In My Heart. His film Miranda, co-produced by Film4, won Official Selection at the Sundance Film Festival in 2002.
