Company Pictures is one of the UK's largest independent television drama and film production companies. Established in 1998, its television production highlights include Skins, created by Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain (E4: Best Drama Series at the Broadcast Awards), Bafta-winning Shameless (Channel 4: winner Best Series at the Broadcast Awards, The Indie Awards and RTS Awards, Baftas), Elizabeth I (Channel 4: nine Emmys, three golden globes and a Peabody Award), North Square (Channel 4: winner Best Series Press Guild), Bafta-nominated Anna Karenina for Channel 4, A Young Person's Guide to Being a Rockstar (RTS award Best Serial) for Channel 4 and Warner Bros, Wild at Heart, created by Ashley Pharoah, starring Stephen Tompkinson and Amanda Holden, Shot Through the Heart (HBO/BBC: winner of Peabody Award), Not Only But Always... (Best Single Film BANFF and BAFTA for Best Actor for Rhys Ifans) and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers (HBO: winner two Golden Globe Awards for Best TV Movie and Best Actor for Geoffrey Rush).
Company has made five feature films with some of the UK's leading directing talent including films by Roger Michell, Shane Meadows and Lynne Ramsey. This year Company Pictures is producing further series of Wild at Heart, Shameless, Skins and George Gently. New shows include Generation Kill for HBO, The Devil's Whore for Channel 4, and the Martina Cole adaptation The Take for Sky.
Amongst its numerous awards, Company Pictures recently won Best Independent Production Company at the Broadcast awards in 2004 and 2008, European Producers of the Year Award at the 2004 Monte Carlo Awards, four Golden Globes, 12 Emmy Awards and a BAFTA for Best Series (Shameless). Since October 2004 Company Pictures has been a part of the All3 Media group.
