Series Summary
In the dizzying heat of August 1939, five cousins - Oliver, Calypso, Polly, Sophy and Walter - gather together on the lawn behind their aunt's house for one last terrifying run along the Cornish cliffs. Forty years on, they meet at the funeral of Max Erstweiler, the wartime refugee who brought music and love into their lives and so changed them forever.
