Each week, resident gastronomic guru Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall must defend his cooking credentials as he is challenged by a different guest captain - each a famous food personality - to establish who knows the most about food.
In each episode Hugh and his rival team leader are flanked by celebrity guests with a passion for food and an eye on victory. Featuring quick-fire questions, blind tastings, physical rounds, surprising food facts and many other challenges, The Big Food Fight is a nourishing snack for all connoisseurs of the comestible, covering everything from cooking to shopping, and growing to eating.
Sue Perkins hosts the debut show as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is joined by guest team captain chef James Martin, and Charlotte Church and Ching-He Huang, for a gastronomic battle to see who really worth their salt.
Hugh is joined by Kirstie Allsopp in a foodie face-off with guest captain chef Greg Wallace and Janet Street Porter.
Sue and Hugh are joined by Heston Blumenthal, Patsy Kensit and Ben Miller for another foodie showdown.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Sophie Dahl are up against Giles Coren and Clarissa Dickson-Wright in another round of the gastronomic quiz.
Hugh teams up with Levi Roots to take on chef Allegra McEvedy and Tom Parker-Bowles.
