Series Summary
The rivalry between two successful Indian restaurants forms the basis of this six-part comedy series. Saeed Jaffrey plays Jimmy Sharma, a 50-something entrepreneur who hustled his way through all manner of jobs and deals until he achieved ownership of The Jewel in the Crown.
But his ambitions do not stop there. Now widowed, Jimmy used to live above the restaurant but success has enabled him to move with his two daughters, Bubbly and Asha, to a house in the more prosperous part of the East End. But will his rivalry with The Far Pavilions cost him dear?
