1. Competition opens Thursday 25th August 2011 and closes at noon on 23rd September 2011.
2. You must be a UK resident and 16 years of age or over to enter.
3. Competition answers must be a maximum of 300 characters.
4. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries will count as one and only your first submission will be considered.
5. A selection of the best-judged entries will appear on the site after the competition has closed. Do not worry if your entry does not appear on the site - all valid entries will have been considered by the judges.
6. Entries will be judged by a panel at Channel 4 alongside external judges. The judges are looking for the most entertaining, witty and persuasive responses.
7. One winner will be selected and contacted within four weeks of the closing date. Once the winner has received notification, they will have 5 working days to accept their prize. After this date another winner may be selected.
8. The prize consists of £1000 worth of Amazon vouchers and three print-outs of Victorian gadgets, designed and signed by Stephen Fry.
