Gadgets haven't just revolutionised the office - they've changed the way we work at home too. Stephen's desk is littered with some of the latest gizmos designed to help you work faster and better. Here are a few that he's particularly fond of.

Stephen Fry Gadget Man

When juggling as many projects as Stephen, anything that helps keep the workspace clutter-free can only be a good thing. And the big problem these days isn't pens and paper - it's cables.

Thankfully, that's where gadgets like the Converge come in. It's a unified docking station that provides somewhere to rest your gadgets while they're charging and a place to keep the cables neatly tucked away.

The lack of space around a desktop computer monitor can also be a nuisance. The Space Bar solves that problem by raising the computer (or whatever you choose to place on it) off the desk giving you storage space and, as it also features a built in USB hub, six additional USB sockets for all you peripherals.

The Contort deals with the problem of knocking USB sticks and connectors from their sockets in the rush to meet that deadline. In the worst-case scenario, this can cause serious damage to both computer and USB gadget. The Contort is a flexible hub with a rubber neck so even if you do give it a knock it's only going to bounce back.

Finally, keeping a track of those thoughts and ideas that randomly pop into your head isn't as easy since we ditch pen and paper in favour of smartphones and laptops. Luckily, Stephen has found a happy medium the Scratch-n-Scroll. It's a mouse mat that comes with a handy stylus that you can use to scribble notes on while you work. To erase, you just lift the magic paper and replace it. Simple, but brilliant.
