Stephen 'The Bear' lives with his parents and has had a working class upbringing - his dad is a market trader and his mum works as a teaching assistant.
He's a lad's lad who loves nothing more than "getting ready, going out and steaming through birds!" He likes being the centre of attention and doesn't take life too seriously. But what Bear does take seriously is his appearance - it's all about white teeth, good tan and a "strong hairline." He sees "a lot of birds" and is definitely a bit of a player. But he's quite the gentleman too - insisting on paying for everything on dates, opening doors and doing traditional man stuff.
On the island, The Bear's got no problem putting the graft in - he's happy to do lots of heavy work while the girls concentrate on sunbathing (aww). By his own admission, Bear's not the sharpest sandwich in the lunchbox - for example he isn't quite sure who the Prime Minister is - but he's a good laugh, a hard worker and generally pretty likeable.
