Deep in the crystal blue waters of the South Pacific, over 12,000 miles from the UK, lies a remote and tropical paradise island. For the next 13 weeks, that island will be home to ten castaways...

With just one island, the new islanders have no chance of escape. During their stay, the islanders will have to build their own shelters, using the basic materials provided. Any extra food rations beyond those provided will have to be sourced from the islands resident wildlife population.
Each week they'll be battling against each other to be voted Island Leader, giving them the power to make island laws and punishments. The ultimate victor will take home a cash prize and reign supreme as the winner of Shipwrecked 2011.
The tents and much of the other equipment on the island was provided by GELERT.
