Kate Davies is a 23-year-old events manager/wannabe entrepreneur from London. She's single.
Having been an intern at an acting agency - where she realised she has "the gift of the gab" and that she's "an excellent sales woman" - Kate wants to own her own bar or run her own entertainment business. But she's currently unemployed.
She describes herself as "smarter than the average" because of her partly private education - she won a scholarship at a fancy school (it was actually an all-boys school the first year it turned mixed she was one of only 15 girls, which might explain why she's a bit of a "geezer-bird").
People tend not to cross Kate apparently, cos they're "usually scared of her", and if they DO dare to challenge her, she goes "absolutely mental" to get her own way. She can't stand "posh people, rough types, jazz-hands drama types, whiney people and extreme people", which describes about 60 percent of the islanders!
Kate has been single since being dumped by a boyfriend at Uni, whose life she "made hell" for the following year. She now has "zero desire for a relationship" until she's ready for kids.
She sees herself as a natural born leader and wanted to be on Shipwrecked for the competition and the money. She says that in life she has "sidekicks" and expects that she'll have these on the island too and plans to get them to do her dirty work. So to clarify: she's dominant, controlling, loud and scary. Sounds like the perfect candidate!
