It’s Week 4 on Shipwrecked and everyone's getting a little bit suspicious...
After the impact of Nailgate - if you missed it, it was huge, check out last week's summary - Xanthi was forced to join the Tigers as a punishment. Sonny wasted no time in laying down the law, telling him he could sleep outside the shelter and if there's any funny business with the new arrivals he could expect to be going to bed without his supper. Well, I say his bed - as we've established, the poor fella doesn't have one.
Anyway, things started looking up for Xanthi when he realised he could nobble the new arrivals by constantly bigging-up Shark island. 'Muhahaha', thought Xanthi (probably).
But first, more about those new arrivals who, if you haven't noticed, have given us a blog each -Greg's Blog/ Franki's Blog - about their first week.
They consisted of headstrong, sporty Greg and cheerful, fun-loving Franki, who both plan to win everyone over by having an awful lot of fun. They began the week on Shark Island on the day of Soodi's birthday - perfect timing to put their party into action. However, the day didn’t go quite to plan. Nadejah was in no mood to help with the preparations, causing a lull in the Shark's energy.
Then, to make matters worse, the Tigers swam over to wish Soodi a happy birthday. 'How lovely!' I hear you cry. Err, actually, no, it wasn't. After last week's sabotage by Tom and Silkie, Andrew was in no mood for niceties, telling both of them exactly what he thought. A few tears from Silkie later and the Tigers were gone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOODI!
However, it wasn't all about tribal tension. The new arrivals were actually having a pretty good time on Shark island, especially Greg. After sparking up a close bond with Maz (gossip? hmmm... watch this space) Greg decided he was a Shark through and through. His mind was further made up when trying to catch a chicken with Mackenzie, as they ran around for a whole afternoon like giggling tribal hunters. Typical boys!
It wasn’t until the new arrivals landed on Tiger Island that they realised it wouldn’t be a clear cut decision, as they both started having a good time AGAIN. Hollie, Silkie and Hermione, sick of being elbowed out by the boys on Tiger Island, decided to form ‘The Tiger Sisterhood’ and welcomed Franki in with open arms. And after a chat with Hermione she also discovered that Liam might have a soft spot for her… something which again put a smile on her face.
Suddenly it was looking like each of the new arrivals might want to go to a different island, but at the beach party they knew they had to make a joint decision. Both tribes set to work trying to win them over, especially Xanthi who told Rosie all his Tiger secrets (like a wannabe spy) and told her to get to work on breaking Franki away from ‘The Tiger Sisterhood’.
As the ceremony began, it could have gone either way and, after a tense discussion between Greg and Franki, they eventually decided to join… SHARKS! Greg had clearly backed down, Franki was made up and Maz… well, Maz was crying. Oh dear. It’ll take a major effort from her if she wants to win him back over to ‘the Shark side’…
But that wasn’t all… it was revealed that next week the new arrivals will be going to separate islands, so who knows what the heck is going to happen with all that. But fear not dear reader, if you can’t last a full week without our lovely Shipwreckers there’s loads of super new pics in this week's gallery to help you make it through. Come on champ, hang in there, you can do it!
PS – You can relax… the pigs are still alive.
