It's the final week on Shipwrecked and everyone's making some very big decisions...
It's tense... oh so very tense.
Firstly, cleanliness obsessive Liran was the new arrival this week, and after getting over the horrors of the long drop, he began to have a fantastic time on Tigers. His island law was to burn something that represented their old selves, and soon a huge bonfire was consuming such items as a bra, which was testament to Sonny's new found feminism. Hurrah for enlightenment!
Over on Sharks there was a surprise – letters from home. Suddenly the whole tribe were in tears, but a huge bombshell was dropped when Maz read out hers. It was a letter from her 'ex' boyfriend... or was he her current boyfriend? Or were they just on a break? The questions were flying around and no-one knew for sure. But one thing was certain... Maz was adamant she wanted to be with the guy back home... and Greg was suddenly left out in the cold.
Emotions were soon consuming both of them... being the final week was hard enough, but this separation made it almost too much to handle.
Soon Liran was over to Sharks and Maz was causing controversy by dissing the Tigers' loyalty and talking up the enormity of his decision at the beach party. Poor Liran was pretty put off by it, and Mark, Lois and Geri were not impressed by Maz's methods... could this cost them the competition?
After burying a Sharks time capsule and getting Liran thoroughly involved in Shark life, things were starting to look up for the tribe, and Greg and Maz put their upset behind them to finish the competition as friends. Check out the story from the horse’s mouth in Greg’s Shark Blog.

Finally it was the beach party, and Liran made his decision to live on... SHARKS!
But it wasn't over... Any islander who had been swapped, banished or stolen was called to the front. They had to choose to end up on one island. Only then would the numbers be counted and a winning tribe declared.
Hollie, Hermione and Liam chose the Tigers, and Nadejah, Bene, Greg, Doug, Dan and Adam chose the Sharks, making it a Shark victory with 17-14. The Sharks erupted, thinking they'd won the money. But, as with everything in Shipwrecked, there was one more twist to come...
The £70,000 prize money was going to only one person. And the Tigers would decide who it that one person was.
The following day the Tiger girls and the Tiger boys visited Shark island in separate groups, with a secret mission of sussing out the characters and picking the most deserving. It was a tough task... some liked Nadejah's positivity, other's liked Doug’s good nature, and some were championing MacKenzie's potential, believing he could maybe start a business with the money.
However, in the end there could be only one, and that one person was... Greg.
Well loved from the moment he arrived, Greg had captured the hearts of both the Sharks and the Tigers and was thoroughly well loved by (nearly) everyone. As the announcement was made he broke down in tears, struggling to come to terms with the huge prize and immense honour of being crowned the best Shipwrecker 2009.
And just like that... it was all over. Bags were packed, flags were taken down, goodbyes were said and tears were shed by the truckload. It wasn't just the end of a holiday... it wasn't just the end of a game... it was the end of the most incredible experience of their lives.
It might be over for them, but not for you! We're giving you one final treat - our massive end of series quiz!
